Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

A therapy approach that helps you accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, while committing to actions aligned with your values.

ACT (pronounced “act”) is an evidence-based therapy developed in the 1980s. Instead of focusing on eliminating difficult emotions, ACT builds psychological flexibility, the ability to stay present with hard feelings while moving towards what matters. It’s used for anxiety, depression, stress, chronic pain and many other concerns.
