In-person counselling

In-person counselling in Deception Bay, QLD

For clients who would prefer to meet face-to-face, in-person counselling is now available in the Deception Bay area, north of Brisbane. Sessions are by appointment and offered alongside the online practice, the work, the approach and the fees are the same.

If you are based in Deception Bay, Redcliffe, Rothwell, Mango Hill or the surrounding northern suburbs, in-person sessions may be a calmer option than a long video call.

What to expect

What an in-person session is like

In-person sessions follow the same calm, grounded approach as the online practice. The first session focuses on understanding what has brought you to counselling, what kind of support feels useful, and whether the fit feels right for ongoing work.

The room is private, quiet and set up for a comfortable 50-minute session. There is space to sit, tea or water to settle in, and no pressure to fill every silence. Sessions move at a pace that feels manageable for you.

Couples and individuals are both welcome in-person. The same rate applies, see the fees below.

In-person may suit you if

For some people, the physical presence of a counsellor in the room makes the work feel more grounded. In-person sessions may be a good fit if you:

  • Live in or near Deception Bay, Redcliffe, Rothwell or Mango Hill
  • Prefer to step away from home for therapy, a clear separation between the session and the rest of your day
  • Find video calls more tiring than face-to-face conversation
  • Don't have a reliably private or quiet space at home for online sessions
  • Want a regular weekly or fortnightly appointment as part of an established routine
